Five Guys has recentlyt enjoyed attention from both President Barack Obama and First LadyMichelle Obama, who separately made high-profile visits there. The president's sojourmn was captured on cameraby NBC, which was following him around for a profile piece. The document does not specifyy why the money isbeintg raised.
According to the Five Guys has alreadyraised $10 million of the $15 milliomn it is trying to Named in the document are Victot and Jane Murrell, both executive officers and directors for the company, as well as directors James John Kim and H. Scott Miller. Spokeswoman Molly Catalanko said she did not have specific details on how the capitao wouldbe used, but said that it was for the company'es general business operations. The filing says the offerinf is not being made in connection witha merger, acqiusition or exchange offer. The company’ss creator, Jerry Murrell, opened the first Five Guys asa carry-outy operation in 1986, in a shopping center on Glebes Road in Arlington.
