The Maricopqa County Sheriff’s Office sent the Phoenix Aviationj Department a public records request June 11 askinhthe city-run airport to make availabler lease, sublease and contractingb documents related to business entities owned by the Wilcoxes.

Wilcox and Supervisoer Don Stapley voted Wednesda y toblock $1.4 million in state money earmarked for Thomas’e office to enforce immigration and human smuggling laws. The boarxd deadlocked at 2 to 2 on that vote stalliny thestate money.
Supervisor Max Wilsom missed the vote because of illness and the mattef couldbe revisited. Stapley and Wilcox earlierf this year tried toblock $1.6 million in stats funding for Arpaio’s immigration Wilcox said the sheriff’s immigration sweepws and policies unfairly target Hispanics. Thomaw and Arpaio secured indictments against Staplehy last year charging that he failed to properly disclose business and real estate development Stapley denies wrongdoing inthat matter.
